Courtney Rene Carey

Co-Owner/Co-Artistic Director

I was a competitive dancer for 18 years, having studied under and choreographed by world renowned choreographers. Additionally, I trained at the University of Kentucky in dance and earned a B.A. in Elementary Education from Belmont Abbey College. Currently, I am completing my Masters in Curriculum and Instruction and am a fifth grade language arts teacher. 

I was the head dance team coach at Belmont Abbey College for three years and choreograph high school dance teams and competition dances for various schools and studios. Additionally, I serve as a judge for various regional competitions. I look forward to sharing my passion, technique, and choreography with students for years to come. 

Caleigh Nicole Carey

Co-Owner/Co-Artistic Director

I have danced competitively for 17 years at prestigious studios in the Charlotte area earning numerous awards on teams and solos. In addition, I have continued my dance career as a member of the Belmont Abbey College dance team. I have completed my B.A. in Psychology and Marketing, along with minoring in nursing. I am now currently completing my M.S. in School Counseling while working as a Teacher Assistant in Gaston County Schools. I look forward to helping others discover their talent and expression in dance.

Amanda Ball

Ballet/Jazz/PBT Instructor

Amanda began her dance career at a studio in Rochester, NY where she danced competitively for 15 years. During her dance training she had the opportunity to take workshops from famous choreographers and dance as a background dancer for the Moscow Ballet and, singer, Sara Groves. After graduating, Amanda went on to become a dance instructor for 7 years teaching Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Acrobatics, Lyrical as well as competition dances. 

 

Amanda has a Masters in Business Administration from St. John Fisher University where she also danced with their dance team. Additionally, she has completed 1 year of Dance Masters of America Training through the University of Buffalo. Amanda is excited to be living in Charlotte now, and is looking forward to sharing her passion for dance with her students.

Tevin Pressley
Hip-Hop Instructor

He is from Gastonia, N.C. and has been dancing since a child. He has competed in many talent shows in high schools, stage plays and advertised for local brands. In 2015, he joined a professional dance studio in Charlotte, N.C. to understand performance and mastering his style. Being a background dancer in music videos, improvising with the artist, or acting, he is well rounded. Currently, he is a dance instructor with MoveStudioClt teaching Hip-Hop and a performer with the Charlotte Hornets Hive Hip Hop Crew.

Courtney Roy

Ballet/Jazz/Floorwork Instructor

Courtney is a dance educator and choreographer specializing in contemporary, jazz, ballet, and lyrical technique for all ages. She graduated from UNC Greensboro with a BFA in Dance & Choreography, where she grew as both an artist and teacher. Now, she aims to inspire the next generation of dancers in NC & beyond.

Hannah Whitaker

Acro Instructor

Hannah is a wife and mom of two wonderful boys. She is currently a substitute teacher and a competition cheer coach. Hannah has coached tumbling, cheer, and dance since she was 16 years old, giving her 20 years of experience in instruction. Hannah instructs levels 1-4 tumbling. Hannah has danced since she was 4 years old and has been in gymnastics since the age of 8.  Hannah minored in dance with Belmont Abbey while she danced and choreographed in their Dance Showcase and Christmas show.

Anita Rainey

Acro/Majerette Instructor

Anita cheered for eight years and went on to coach competitive cheerleading after college. She’s worked several cheerleading camps and has choreographed competitive routines for both All-Stars and High School teams. Anita cheered competitively for Forestview High School and went on to cheer on a co-ed team in college. She’s a graduate of Mars Hill College with a B.S. in Physical Education concentrating in Sports Management and a minor in Business Administration. She’s taught recreational gymnastics for eight years. Anita is certified by the American Association of Cheerleading Coaches and Advisors (AACCA). Coaching competitive cheerleading the past eight years has been very rewarding to her life.
